    Did you know some of the new laws don’t apply to all renters? They will only apply to some renters, for example those who move into a new property or sign a new lease after 1 July 2020. This means some renters will miss out on the benefits coming in next year, such as homes having to meet minimum standards or rental providers having to carry out safety related activities.     The Victorian Government has released the Regulatory Impact Statement and draft regulations for its new rental laws, due to come into effect on 1 July 2020. They are holding a short five-week public consultation. Have your say now via the Engage Victoria website.
